Julia Letlow (blue dress) was sworn in as the U.S. representative for Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District Wednesday by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (red pantsuit). Letlow ran for a seat left open by the death of her husband, Luke, who died of COVID-19 before he could be sworn into office. Her late husband’s father held the Bible during her swearing-in ceremony.
