The state auditor, once again, criticized the oversight of sentence calculations for inmates in Louisiana’s prison system.

Four juvenile males escaped Sunday afternoon from the Acadiana Center for Youth in Bunkie, according to our news partners at KALB-TV. Two were captured  and two others were still unaccounted for as of Sunday night.

The state Office of Juvenile Justice said the juveniles escaped around 2:30 p.m., two of them were caught 6 p.m. The two who were still on the run are a 16-year-old from Calcasieu Parish and a 15-year-old from Grant Parish.

The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Department of Corrections, Louisiana State Police and other local police are looking for the two remaining escapees.

State Rep. Daryl Deshotel of Marksville told KALB a group of juveniles at the center allegedly attacked a female guard and took her keys. The guard reportedly has serious injuries from the encounter.

Deshotel said he was told that riots broke out at the facility but have were contained.
