Louisiana vaccine events for the week of March 8-13

State holds 31 community events in five regions

The Louisiana Department of Health is holding 31 community vaccination events in five of its public health regions this week.

On Monday health officials administered COVID-19 vaccines in Orleans, Iberia, Winn, Beauregard and Avoyelles parishes.

Tuesday, March 9

The above events are not the only vaccination options. Health officials have distributed vaccine doses to 618 health facilities this week, covering all 64 parishes of the state. They include 258 chain pharmacies (including 123 Walmarts, 14 Sam’s Clubs and 64 CVS locations), 151 independent pharmacies, 67 hospitals, 41 public health providers, 27 urgent care centers, 34 federally qualified health centers, 21 medical practices, 8 rural health clinics and 11 other healthcare providers.
